A new state law makes it possible for Maryville’s Children’s Health Care Center to help even more children make the transition from hospital to home. Sister Catherine Ryan, the executive director of Maryville, explained that the new state law will reduce waiting lists and allow the center to keep beds reserved for patients who may need to temporarily return to the hospital for treatment. The Center helps parents of children with complex medical needs care for their children at home by training them to use medical equipment, such as a ventilator or feeding tube. State Sen. John Mulroe sponsored the legislation. Conlon & Dunn has represented Maryville since 2015.
