On September 15, 2016, the West Suburban Philanthropic Network will be hosting, “Ask the Grant Writer,” a program for nonprofit professionals at the DuPage County Historical Museum, 102 E. Wesley, Wheaton, Illinois, 60187.
Cathy McCann, Chicago Program Officer with the Topfer Family Foundation will share her insights and moderate a panel featuring:
Nathan Medina, director of foundation relations, Lydia Home Association Margaret Rush, foundation relations and grant writer, DuPage Children’s Museum Catherine Voigt, account executive/grant writer, Conlon & Dunn Public Strategies
Moderator Cathy McCann will ask panelists questions regarding grant research, budgeting, putting together a quality case for support, building your pipeline of annual funders and finding new funders, educating your Board on funding opportunities and grantor fits, calculating indirect costs, demonstrating program impact, hosting successful site visits, and dealing with the immediate and long-term effects of the issues with the state of Illinois budget crisis.
